About me
I discovered my passion for glass art in the mid nineties and as a result enrolled on a postgraduate diploma glass course glass at the renowned Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design (CSM) in London.
Graduating from the course with distinction lead me to design architectural glass for projects in Germany and the UK, working with German and British glass studios on the implementation and installation of the artwork.
Above all I enjoy creating wall-hung glass artworks exploring pattern ideas inspired by textiles and minimalist art and architecture.
My artwork has been shown in exhibitions & art fairs in the UK including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the Discerning Eye and Society of Women Artists exhibitions in London. In addition, work has also been exhibited at various Affordable Art Fairs, The Other Art Fair London, as well as a display at the COLLECT fair at Somerset House as part of work represented by Cube Gallery London.
Exhibitions of my work abroad include the Affordable Art Fair New York, context art Miami and SOFA Chicago, Seattle Art Fair, USA as well as artKarlsruhe in Germany.
My artworks are held in private collections in the UK, Germany, USA, Hong Kong and Peru.
About my background
Coming to the medium of glass from a background of a professional interior designer I bring my experience and understanding of material qualities and spatial considerations into the design and making process.
My artworks are inspired by the material itself, and sketch ideas are translated into samples for presentation for each commission or artwork.
